Treat your Mum with Thaikhun

Sawasdee (Hello), We love our Mum's and what better way to show them that than winning them a Thaikhun Orange Card - that's free Thaikhun for a year! Yup, an entire year's worth of delicious Thai Street food! Thaikhun have decided to give you the chance of winning this and it couldn't be simpler to enter. All you have to do is submit either a Photo or Video telling them why your mum is Fabulous and why she should win it in no more than five words - this competition closes on Friday the 24th of March so no dilly dallying - enter here!

Thaikhun have also given you, my readers the chance to win a Family Meal for five up to the value of £100 - whoop whoop! All you have to do is head over to my twitter, retweet my pinned tweet and follow Thaikhun and myself - it's that easy (T's and C's below).

I recently headed down to my local Thaikhun with my little family and we had such a great time. The thing with Thaikhun is that it boasts an amazing atmosphere that is perfect for a family meal, a date night or a get together with friends. The staff are so welcoming and attentive, you really can relax and enjoy a fantastic array of colourful authentic Thai street food.

Some of our favourites to start were the Gai Satay which is chicken satay skewers served with toast and a peanut sauce and the Moo Dad Deow which is pork strips, marinated in palm sugar, coriander and soy sauce, deep fried and sprinkled with sesame seeds - Delish!

The mains of choice when we head there tend to change each time but recently we went for the Geang Phed, Thai red Curry which is full of flavour and never fails to satisfy the taste buds. A new personal favourite of mine is from the Grill and it's the Nad Yang, Grilled Sirloin Steak which is nice a simple with a spicy twist of tangy chilli and tamarind sauce - perfect with a serving of sticky rice.

Let's not forget the little ones of the family, Thaikhun have a great mix and match tray for children which lets them choose what they want - simple and there's no fuss. If you have adventurous little ones you can get a side of edible creepy crawlies! Might not be for everyone but I can say that I've tried them and it's one for being struck off the bucket list!
