Instagram Round Up | What have I been up to?

Hello Again,

As I have been a bit absent from the blogging scene I thought I would do an instagram round up! I got this idea from fellow Aberdeen blogger Laura from the Floral Elephant, go check out her round up and see what she's been up to!

As I have been absent for a while this round up is over a few months, so have a nosey!

From top left to right

This is Sam (my fiancé if you didn't know) and this was taken in Regent's Park in London when we were there in July. This was our last day and we had quite a few hours to kill so we had a little make shift picnic and lay on the grass. This was one of my favourite days.

Again this was in London but this was in front of one of my favourite places EVER - Liberty's! I have seen the oh so very instagrammable flowers all over the Internet so I just had to get that photo! They were so beautiful!

Breakfast at Skene House, Whitehall with Laura (of the Floral Elephant). We spent most of the day blogging away in their lounge. To be honest I didn't get as much as I'd like to have gotten done but I had a good catch up with a friend!

Have you ever had watermelon vodka jelly? No, then you have not lived haha! I made this for a girls night in at my friend Emma's house. I put in far too much vodka but I was so impressed that it turned out right - the first ever Pinterest thing that I've managed to do!

YAY! BlogsVlogsEtc turned one year old at the beginning of August! I can't believe that I have been typing away for over a year now. Blogging for me has been so much more for me than I originally thought it would be. I have met some amazing people who I would call good friends! I have also had some amazing opportunities that I would never have done - climbing 40ft up a tree and jumping off - Go Ape was a blast!

I love this photo! (from left to right: Julia from Just Julia, Katherine from Katherine Elizabeth Official, Laura from the floral elephant and me) This was taken after our blogger sleepover at Skene House. It was such a fun night - I haven't laughed like that in a long time, we need to do it again! Hannah from Granite City Girl is missing from this photo though - that's the only thing that wrong with it!

Here's my tiger, oh sorry, daughter! This was taken at my work's annual BBQ. It was located at a loch out past Banchory and it was surrounded by rolling hills - such a great day. April had a blast bouncing all day on the bouncy castles and getting her face painted - She even won the egg and spoon race (she may have ran holding the egg in one hand and the spoon in the other but she's three so it still counts).

Looking at this photo makes me so hungry! I was invited along to the opening of Chaophraya, a new Thai restaurant in Aberdeen so I grabbed Sam, we got all dolled up and oh my goodness I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals we have ever had!!

Again with the food - these pancakes from Books and Beans are just - ugh! This is exactly what you want on a cool autumn day. I was invited along by Katherine for a little blogger get together where we sample some of books and Beans great food. Again this was a great catch up with some of my Aberdeen blogging pals!

So that's what I've been up to recently. I have been super busy with work and home life - you know how it is but I am trying to get my butt in gear and get back to blogging on a more consistent level! So on that note, what have you been up to? Also have any motivational tips?

Speak soon!

Linton and Mac's 1st Birthday Bash!

Gin, great food, awesome interiors and some 90's troll dolls? Sound interesting? Well you would have loved celebrating Linton and Mac's first birthday!

Linton and Mac is a style sensation in the heart of Aberdeen city. They have an amazing array on offer from nails, make up and anything hair related! Have a look and see what they have on offer - I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find something that interests you!

Linton and Mac have now been open for one year and their success has been enormous - you could just tell by the turnout to their birthday bash! Upon arrival we were greeted by balloons bigger than my head and the beaming smile of one of the creative directors, Joanna. We were welcomed into the salon that just oozed everything aesthetically pleasing to the eye (especially a bloggers eye), the ceiling was covered in balloons with little troll dolls hanging with their bare butts on show (cheeky), barrel bins full of ice and some very fierce beer (from fierce beer obvs), cupcakes, donuts and oh so much more including a 'Boost your bubble bar' with everything that you could think of adding into your prosecco and so much more. There was also a window sill covered in Porter's Gin (I totally think I'm that old lady off of the Lidl advert speaking about the teabags but turning around saying 'I don't like tea, I like gin' - keeping it classy). There was bottle upon bottle on gin, lemon slices, strawberries - basically they hooked up gin! It was great!

Other than the milky ways and throwback bags of crisps scattered around they also a cotton candy machine from Candy Creations - nothing makes me smile more than some glorious spun sugar on a stick (ok my daughter on the daily, but you know it's candy floss). There was also these scrumptious cupcakes - Looking at them they just look like a standard cupcake - oh no no, at the bottom of the vanilla topped cupcake was a jammy dodger and at the bottom of the chocolate topped ones was a cookie! Hello!

Overall the party was really cool and such a success, there was great music and I was surrounded by some of my favourite people - shout out to all you Aberdeen bloggers!

As soon as payday hits I will be booking myself into get my hair all done, maybe even my nails!

Thanks to all the staff and everyone who helped make the day and thanks for having me at your birthday party!

You can find Linton and Mac at 18-20 Netherkirkgate, Aberdeen.
